PlayStation 2 Customer Support Number: 1-800-345-7669

Guess what? My PS2 won't read PlayStation 2 disks. It'll read PS1 but not 2. How shitty is that? However, I did actually track down a customer service number for them, called, and they said they could fix it for free (all I pay is shipping and handling). I'd been looking all over their site for a customer service number, but couldn't find one, but I did run across their repair fees and it would normally be $103 dollars...may as well buy a new one for that. So, of course by that point I was getting pissed. Especially because the PS2 only has a standard 90 day warrenty. 90 DAYS? For a fucking piece of electronic equiptment? That's just ridiculous! And, of course, I couldn't find a customer service number on their site. Don'tcha love how companies do that? Make a big, unhelpful website which is supposed to be there to service the customers, but really doesn't do shit and gives you no one to call? Fortunately, when I'm pissed I get persistant. I went into their terms of service section and found the only phone number on their website...their lawyers. I said fuck it, I'll call their legal department if that's what it takes! So I did, which is a pay number. Luckily, I have The Neighborhood, so for $50 a month I can call anywhere in the goddam country and not have to pay any more than that...so that didn't scare me. Thankfully, they have a recording on, which gives you the actual Play Station customer service number. So I called that and talked to the guy there and he went through all the ringamarole of giving him my information, etc. Then he started asking me a bunch of shit like had I ever used a game shark, had I ever dropped the machine, did the disk have smudges, etc. All right, here's a free piece of advice for yuo whenever you have to call customer service numbers and they ask you these sort of things. NEVER say anything that would make it sound like it was your fault! No I've never used a GameShark (true), no I've never dropped the console (semi true...it's never fallen distance higher than a few inches...heh), and yes I tried a brand new game and it STILL didn't work (not true, but I tried ALL my games, they were all smudge free and none of them worked...so what are the odds its the game's fault?). In other words, give them no wiggle room, or they'll use it to get out of fixing the problem. Anyway, long story short, I'm going to use this entry to publicize the PS2 customer service number. When I tried to find it initially, it wouldn't even show up on google. So, since these entries show up on google, maybe this will help future unsatisfied customers get ahold of them, whether they like it or not. So bear with me, I'm going to make one of those annoying pornsite-style lists of words and phrases so it'll show up.

Here's the number: 1-800-345-7669

PS2 Customer Support Number: 1-800-345-7669 Playstation2 Customer Support Number: 1-800-345-7669 PlayStation 2 Customer Support Number: 1-800-345-7669 Play Station2 Customer Support Number: 1-800-345-7669 Play Station 2 Customer Support Number: 1-800-345-7669 Customer Support Number for PlayStation 2: 1-800-345-7669

That should be sufficient. You know, I think that's what I'll do. Start a website that gives out hard to find customer service numbers, so companies can't get away with anything. Heh.

Okay, feel free to continue with my life now.
